Fabio Ramos new Director Corporate Communications at DFS

On 1 January 2021, Fabio Ramos became the new Director of Corporate Communications at DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH. The 50-year-old is succeeding Christian Hoppe, who had held the position since 2015 and took retirement at the start of 2021. Ramos will assume responsibility for various areas in his new role, including external and internal communications, public affairs, environmental management and customer communications. 

The qualified lawyer has been working for DFS since May 2003, starting out as a senior expert of the Corporate Contacts Department and then assuming the position of Head of Political Affairs. From 1999 to 2003, Ramos managed the parliamentary office of Dr Georg Jarzembowski (MEP/transport policy spokesperson of the European People's Party in Brussels). 

After completing his law degree at Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn, Ramos was appointed as assessor of law at corporate law firm Dres. Kohlndorfer, Riedl & Partner and subsequently also as in-house lawyer at the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research (FHG e.V.) in Munich. 

Fabio Ramos is married and has two children.

DFS ensures the safe and punctual flow of air traffic over Germany.
