DFS again one of the best employers in Germany

Third place achieved in the category transport and logistics — ranked 22nd across all industries

08.02.2016 DFS is once again among the best employers in Germany according to the German news magazine FOCUS in their annual employer ranking for 2016, which is the largest of surveys of this type in Germany. DFS took third place in the category transport and logistics in a ranking of the best employers in Germany.

Across all industries, DFS took 22nd place for companies with more than 500 employees. This was another significant improvement for DFS, after placing 108th in 2014 and 68th last year. "We see this success as a confirmation that we are on the right path to a compelling corporate culture that is fit for the future," says Dr Michael Hann, Managing Director Human Resources at DFS, "and, at the same time, it is incentive to improve."

The top 1,000 employers in Germany were awarded distinctions in 22 industries. The ranking is based on surveys and assessments made by employees at the various companies, at all levels and of all ages. The surveys asked questions such as how satisfied employees are with their management's leadership qualities, their chances for career development, their salary and their employer's image. In addition, employees were asked if they would recommend their employer to acquaintances and family.

The ranking uses three sources as its basis: a representative survey carried out by the market research institute Statista, a survey of members of the German professional networking site XING and the results of an online assessment carried out by kununu, the largest employer assessment portal for German-speaking countries. In total, more than 70,000 employee assessments were taken into account. All results respected the anonymity of the respondents.
