Personal data are stored in this connection. The purpose of storing personal data over a longer period of time is to ensure the professional handling of complaints related to aircraft noise (consistency of information, repetition avoidance - identical replies -, prevention of abusive requests according to law, possibility to refer to earlier replies, preservation of evidence).

Legal basis for data processing
Data processing is based on Section 3(6)(1c) UIG in connection with Article 89(3) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data
Data are used within DFS by the department responsible for political and environmental affairs, by the departments processing the complaints as well as by tower and control centre staff.

Retention period of personal data
Your data will be stored for seven years after collection. Then your request/complaint, including all personal data, will be automatically deleted. If you file another complaint with DFS within this period, the period will restart on the day of entry of your personal data. Any complaints that already exist at this time will remain unaffected by the new period and will be deleted upon expiry of the relevant period.
