Specialist training Training staff to work in the air navigation services is our core business. The Air Navigation Services Academy trains air traffic controllers, ATM specialists, air navigation services technicians and engineers, as well as AIS officers. It focuses on meeting the training needs of both external customers and DFS staff. Examples of external customers trained at our Academy include regional airports and international air navigation services organisations. Aspects of the training courses, such as the content, duration and organisation, vary greatly from course to course. At the same time, however, participants acquire basic information in all training courses to prepare them for their future work in the air navigation services.
