Infrastructure Creating the right training environment goes hand in hand with ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of training. For this reason, the training infrastructure plays a crucial role in determining the success of our training courses. Training at the DFS Academy is tailored to the initial and advanced training requirements of air navigation services personnel. The Academy provides excellent training infrastructure. This includes classrooms with multimedia equipment, computer-based training studios, various systems for simulating air traffic control and flight data processing, flight simulators and technical laboratories. We also offer valuable services, such as accommodation in our guest house, in-house catering and sporting facilities as well as the use of our nearby commuter train station. You will find all of these facilities in the direct vicinity of the Academy. Our aim is to make you feel at home with us. The Academy is located in the middle of the campus. With its semi-circular shape, the Academy building is easy to spot on the DFS Campus. The architecture of the Academy is structured in different sections. The following facilities are located in the inner section: Conference rooms Auditorium Library Administration offices In the middle section: Classrooms Teachers’ offices Laboratories In the outer section: Simulation facilities Operational staff’s offices Our guest house, which can accommodate up to 350 guests in single rooms, can be accessed from the inner section. It also houses a sports hall, a gym and other facilities for leisure activities. A sports field and three tennis courts are located directly behind the guest house.
