Thanks to their technical know-how and experience in operations, DFS experts have developed two future-oriented air traffic control systems in the past few years: PHOENIX and the 4D Planner. PHOENIX is a multi-radar tracking and air situation display system, primarily for use at control towers and as an ATM fallback system at control centres. 4D Planner is a real-time arrival management system providing continuously optimised arrival sequencing for airports.
