CONTROL CENTRE
In the DFS business unit Control Centre, the main safety and quality management of operations and operational ATS control centre technology is performed by the DFS department Safety and Quality (CC/FC). The primary focus is on the safety and service quality that is produced in operations.
Thanks to its safety and quality policy, the business unit Control Centre plays a key role in helping DFS to meet its statutory obligation to ensure the safe, orderly and expeditious handling of terminal and enroute air traffic in Germany.
The duties of department CC/FC comprise the implementation of terms of reference, methods and standards as well as the measurement, evaluation and reporting of the safety and quality produced. The department monitors whether company-internal and external requirements are being adhered to. It also coordinates the implementation of the ISO 9001 standard and the related process management of the regional units and the central departments of the business unit Control Centre. Furthermore, operational and technical reporting is consolidated in the business unit Control Centre and performed by the department CC/FC. The department forms the interface to operational safety management in the control centres and is also the point of contact for the department Corporate Safety and Security Management.
