Flight restrictions due to Bush visit to Maastricht

Due to the visit by the US President Bush to Maastricht, the Netherlands, flight restrictions will apply to private aircraft in parts of North-Rhine/Westphalia from 18:00 hrs on Saturday until 12:00 hrs on Sunday. In individual cases, short-term security measures may cause delays at the airports of Düsseldorf and Cologne.
DFS regrets any inconvenience caused.

As prescribed by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing, the restriction will apply to an area of 30 nautical miles (56 km) around the city of Maastricht. Private aircraft are not permitted to fly in this area from 7 May (18:00 hrs) until 8 May (12:00 hrs). A similar regulation will apply in the Netherlands and Belgium.
