DFS downsizes management board - Personnel Director Jürgen Hartwig set to leave the company

DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH is downsizing its Board of Managing Directors from four to three members. Jürgen Hartwig, Managing Director Human Resources and Personnel Director, will leave the company on 30 June 2005. The downsizing of the Board of Managing Directors was agreed by all parties as part of the preparations currently underway for the capital privatisation of DFS.

Mr Hartwig (55) assumed his function on 19 November 1992 shortly before the air navigation services in Germany were corporatised. On 1 January 1993, DFS succeeded the Federal Administration of Air Navigation Services (BFS) as the air navigation service provider in Germany. Mr Hartwig played a key role in transferring civil servants and employees from the former federal authority to DFS, thereby establishing a new employment relationship.

The Supervisory Board would like to thank Mr Hartwig for his long-standing commitment and dedication to his work.
