FOCAL AREAS
Software developers, technicians, engineers, scientists, psychologists and air traffic controllers all work in research and development at DFS on the following focal areas: - Concepts and systems (i.e. developing and assessing new concepts, procedures or technical components of a future air traffic management system)
- ATM simulations (i.e. conceiving, conducting and assessing of ATM simulations)
- ATM simulators (i.e. conceiving, developing and maintaining of ATM simulators)
- Innovation management (i.e. finding, planning and steering potential innovations at DFS)
The findings, skills and experience gained in these focal areas are integrated into practical work in the form of matrix projects and deliver significant added value. Our cooperations with external partners also contribute to our success:
