FABEC milestones
- November 2006: FABEC Feasibility Study launched
- July 2008: FABEC Feasibility Study presented
After months of detailed analyses by more than 230 experts, the study shows that FABEC is feasible and necessary. It also paves the way for the implementation of FABEC.
- November 2008: Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland sign a Declaration of Intent for the creation of a functional airspace block in central Europe called FABEC.
- November 2008: By signing a cooperation agreement, Belgocontrol, DSNA, DFS, ANA, LVNL, MUAC and skyguide define the first and immediate cooperations.
- November 2008: The FABEC implementation phase begins.
- 2010: The FABEC agreement is ready to be signed and is due to take effect in 2012.
- 2012: FABEC is a reality.
